kawasaki's belts are made by bando belt corp. which is a japanese company. I tried to get a belt direct but had no luck. I bought mine from beartooth also.

 

So we finally have an alternate to the expensive kawi belt? I want to get a spare to take to Hatfield McCoy with me, but rather not spend $100 on it.

 

Anyone get a part number?

 

It looks from the first post that it is hp2018.

You can't look it up the P/N on Dayco's website. But, HP is a product line of snowmobile belts.

I use a new belt each pull.

 

I can't remember exactly but does our stock belt from Kawi have grooves on the top and bottom? Looking on the Dayco website, Click Me, I don't see grooves on the outside of the belt. I heard these grooves on the stock Kawi belt help improve airflow. I wonder if this Dayco belt would overheat the CVT?

 

They do have grooves on top and bottom of the oem belt.

 

dayco does not have grooves in it hope it wont overheat the clutch it did not hurt top speed they also make one for the 700
