Default P700 question? Help!

Ok- I tried to use the 12v plug adapter (the one in the rear) for an electric fertilizer spreader. I plugged the wires together and the spreader worked. I turned the spreader off, but I forgot to turn the key to the off position and the battery died. I tried to charge battery but had no luck. My dealer drained it and recharged it and said the battery is keeping charge. Got home, installed battery and it is still wouldn't turn over.
I tried the manual start and it turned over, but the instrument display is acting wacky- flashing then disappearing, showing speeds even though quad is in neutral, head lights and brake light flickers- kind of like something is lose. The fan came on and when I turned off the machine the fan turned off. In the past, the fan would run until the unit was cool. It also felt like KEBC was not working. Any ideas on where to begin- it does run and my winch works. I do have extended warranty also. Thanks for the help!

you could have a loose connection somewhere. mine was doing most of what you were describing, it was caused by a loose pos. battery connection. the 650/700 are very sensitive to electricty flucuations

Default P700 question? Help!

Thanks- I reinstalled the battery and doubled checked my connections, but still no dice. Anyone else have any ideas/suggestions? Is it possible that I fried the cdi or some other electrical component (the spreader was designed for ATV's)? Is there a fuse for the speedo that could have blown, etc...? Any other input would sure help! Guz

90% of unusual electronic anomalies are caused by a loose ground. get a schematic and make sure the grounds are clean and tight.

here's a suggestion. don't know if it will work. try unplgging the cumputer and repluging it in. you don't need to disconnect the battery cable for this. the computer is under the seat. it's the square black box ( about 3inches by 3 inches) with one plug going to it.the plug has a locking clip you have to push down and its still pretty hard to pull apart. good luck.
