26" ATR Report
What a coincidence. I have 25" ATRS and decided to run 6psi in the fronts and 7 in the rears today. Before leaving home I read this post and decided to try the rolling test. I got less distance rolled with the rears. It wasnt much but definately less. My tires are mounted on ITP C-Series. I went in and out of 4x4 all day and never noticed anything abnormal. The tires rode fine today with 6 and 7 psi and I will leave them like that. I was running 4 and 5 before.

i like the ride and the handling aspects of my atrs..........but the bighorns are just sick looking. Maxxis had initial quality problems but they took care of their customers from what i've heard! I'm gonna try to sell the atr's locally and save up for 27 or {{{swoon}}}28" Radial Bighorns man a 28 inch bighorn would be the shizilnizl!!!!!

lightman, problem is you have 27" Outlaws, not Mudbugs. THAT is the difference. If you rode the 27" Mudbugs for a day you would know what Cartman is talking about. Sure, the 27" bugs wont compare with the 25" ATRs "I should know I have owned both" but the the 27" Bugs will run rings around the Outlaws on hard pack, rocky and rutty trails.

I was extrememly impressed with your ATR's, KOD. I liked the ride and the easy steering.
However, I am just about ready to order a set of Carlisle Badland XTRs. The reviews say they are lighter yet durable. They handle extremely well, and are well suited for a wide variety of terrain. They also cost less than the ATR. The Badland's description sounds exactly like the ATR, however, I think the Badland tread pattern might be slightly better for mud traction.
I searched around and can't find any info about them on the forum. The ATV magazines reviewed new SP700s with this tire on them and they said good things. I am not sure if I can take that as fact, the magazines are some of the biggest spreaders of falsehoods.
Newbeetle hasn't tried them yet, as far as I can tell. He doesn't have a set of 4 anyway.
