I have heard a twin is much easier to quiet( stealth). And low end torgue is important.
You have to crawl slowley into the back country quietly^ or else you are part of the food chain.

I'm going to approach this a little differently, because quite frankly the Honduh Rinky Dink 650, Yamaha Grizzly 660, and Kawasaki Prairie 700 are all excellent machines that would more than fill your requirements.
I say go with the DEALERSHIP that can give you the best service, both in repairs after the sale, and in aftermarket performance upgrades. We just shipped a set of 25" tires and C-Series wheels to Alaska, and shipping cost alone were $250. Oh my god that is expensive, and I don't know how you people in Alaska ever buy anything from the 48 states. So buy from the dealer that provides the best service after the sale, and has the best in stock selection of aftermarket products you may want some day. I would think it would be a whole lot cheaper to buy from a local dealer in Alaska than it would be to buy from the 48 states and pay shipping. So go dealer shopping, who cares what the brand is.
