Default any new news?

I wasn't bashing Honda by any means! I have owned many Hondas in the past. I'm sorry, but I don't believe the Honda could do as well without the low range. I have had my Prairie wide open in low range, and was still straining to make it to the top of some of the hills I've climbed, even with all my mods, so I seriously doubt the Honda would do just as well. Again, I'm not bashing, because I almost bought a Rincon, I'm just pointing out the differences. The lack of low range was an issue for me, for others it may not be. Peace!

Does anyone know what kind of money any of these bikes could cost? They're probably going to be very expsensive.

prices won't skyrocket or sales would suffer. the Brute will probably be 2-3 hundred higher MSRP then the prairie700 and the 500 (twin or single is still not known) will be inline with the Kodiaks and Ranchers400. The market won't stand for the prices of the premium atv's to get much higher, especially when a 350 will do everything my prairie will do.............just a bit slower

here's what i'm thinking on MSRPs
Brute Force $7999
Prairie 650 $7499
Prairie 500 $6599

I figure the 500 will be the bargain as far as MSRPs go. Remember you should NEVER pay suggested retail for ANYTHING let alone an ATV..........

All this is still speculation based on what a couple very reliable past sources have informed us.

I hope they make a manual version of the 650. If not the 650 atleast the 500. I think I heard the 500 is a twin but I am not sure. That would be great a manual twin.

Well if thats the MSRPs they can count me out. A 650 with a list higher than what the 700 was??? Makes no sense.

I figure the 650 if in fact they even go back to a 650 which makes no sense either will continue to list for around 7,000$ The 700 already list for 7,099$.

The 500 I would expect to remain competitive with other 500 offerings around the 6,000 mark and the 750 probably will list for slightly more than the current 700s are, around 7,200- 7,400. Similar in price to a Rincon would be my guess and if it is in fact fuel injected probably tag on another 1 to 200 dollars.

Although what I have gathered so far says that in fact NONE of these bikes are gonna have EFI.

If in fact they do produce a 750, do you all think it will be de-tuned to match the current 700 output or will it be opened up to what a 750 should do? If this is the case, (de-tuning) what would be the use? If a 750 is only putting out what the 700 is, why wait and why waste more money? The extra money could be spent on a few mods and have a faster machine at the same cost!

The de-tuning will only be on the bottom and top end, just like the 650/700. the mid range will kick butt where you need it, going up big hills etc., to keep those bigger tires turning.

Then, for those who can handle and want more, you can have it by using aftermarket items at *your own risk*.

kawasaki, let the good times roll.

Imagine if we could sign a waiver and get the performance that they engineer into the superbikes, no retarded ignition timing, small cam profile or advanced cam timing. That would be awesome! I have never ridden a bike or quad(production) that had TOO much power, and I imagine that there are a few of us like that out there, but what percentage are we? Probably, most of the people that buy these quads are not interested in White-knuckling, life flashing before your eyes power, but I am!
