Default New V force in Shop

My wifes V has to go in the shop. The fan is not working and it is heating up. I have checked all the fuses and connection. Has anybody else had the same problem, is this common?

Mine hasn't had that problem, but I did a search and there were a few folks that had similar problems...
some went with a different coolant, (water wetter, evans coolant) there was one post about possible bad fan temp switch,

search the Kawasaki forum for fan or overheat

there is temp sensor in the top of the rad that controlls the fan, mine whent bad and the fan stayed on all the time it was stuck in the closed posision, sounds like yours is stuck open and wont turn the fan on.

it cost me $50.00 to get a new one and the problem went away

Mine had that same problem on the first ride of this Season. Riding down the trail, smell antifreeze, stop and sure enough it's boiling in the radiator. The shop found that the radiator fan was toast. Had to be replaced (which paid for the extended warranty). Not sure if a stick got in there and prevented the fan from spinning, thus burning up the fan motor, or how this happened.

It almost has to be the sensor to turn the fan on. The fan spins fine. The shop is checking it out today, I will reply with the problem.

After having the Quad in the shop all week, the dealership had a chance to look at it today. They said it is the switch to turn the fan on. It will take another five days to get the part in. I guess no riding this weekend.
