Default Problems with Bayou 185

Hello,

Ive been having problems out of my atv. It is hard to start, will barely start even with its fuel pump running, and the choke on. Finally after it starts it idles too low. So when I adjust it to were it will run and ride it for a while its idling way to high. And it commonly will completely shut off while riding it. The only it will run again is to leave the choke on and it will run turn it off and it will die. After riving it up a little with the choke on its back to running regular but now its idling way to low? Its a mystery to me, Please Help!!!

Default Problems with Bayou 185

Hello,

I have thought that myself. The battery in it is dead and I have been just hot shoting it to start it, could this be a problem? What is a mystery to me though is that it just started it one night. Also it will not run with the breather on it. What could this be? Thanks

What i meant was that I have never heard of fuel pucp being on a quad - motorcycle would seem odd if it had one

My wifes bayou 300 was doing about the same thing. I screwed the air needle out, put a new O-RING on it. Put it back in at 2 turns out and it ran perfect.
