Default kebc knocking noise

I was riding my P700 today and in high or low right before the KEBC disengages it sounds like something is knocking on plastic. I haven't noticed this noise before. Does anyone know why it's making that noise. It's really weird. It sound just like someone knocking on plastic right where the KEBC is, but only before it disengages. Not when it engages. Any help would be great.

It may be that the kebc is not fully engaged due to loose motor mounts or misadjusted shift lever.

How do I check for those two things? I had brought it in with ten hours on it because it was making a screeching noise (the kebc). Also I went riding for the first time the weekend before through mud and water if that makes any difference but I don't remember hearing it then? It doesn't do it in reverse.

Mine also was screeching but I've yet to repair it , so maybe they loose something while adjusting the screech?
just this KEBC is the worst part of the pack in term of reliability.

You can do a search under nyroc & motor mounts to get info on how to get to the bolts and how much torque to apply to the bolts to see if any are loose.

For the shift rod adjuster, go to nyroc's tech tips, ATV Power, and there is a well detailed procedure for that.

Whether one of these procedures solves the problem or not, they are good things to know in maintanence of your bike.
