should the face plate have any movement? i wiggled mine to today and noticed that it moved just a little bit wright at the bolt.

Sounds like yours is getting sloppy... it should be a very tight fit on the shaft... if you have side to side wobble, likely your bushings are getting worn... if it developes too much wobble, it will start eating belts...

 

can i just replace the bushings or do i have to buy the whole thing?

I believe the bushings are replaceable on the '03 & newer clutches, but not replaceable ( from Kawi ) on the '02 clutches... there have been some forum members with machinist connections, that have made & installed new ones out of "oilight" ??? ( spelling )
