KEBC Dead - BIG Ride This Weekend - Need HELP!
Hola all! I posted this problem about a week ago, and still no help. My KEBC is DEAD, and I've got a BIG ride this weekend! I had a dumb@ss mechanic work on my '03 P650 when I totalled it, and he cut the wires leading to the black 4-pin connector underneath my shifter assembly. I'm not an electrical genius, so I thought I'd ask you guys. Does the black 4-pin connector lead to the KEBC actuator or something? Where exactly is the KEBC actuator, and how can I tell if it's bad? Where is the 2WD/4WD actuator, and how can I tell if it's bad? My 4WD seems to be working ok (for now), but I definitely have the 2WD/4WD flashing problem. In fact, when I switch it into 2WD, it seems like it remains in 4WD (I can't tell by the console because it's flashing back and forth!). My fuses are working fine -- we switched fuse boxes with my friend's P650, and the KEBC worked perfectly. We jumped my KEBC off the battery to reset the motor, and the motor also worked perfectly. Am I missing something here? I don't want to get into the deep woods this weekend and have something go seriously wrong...

I had the 2wd/4wd flashing light problem before. The fix in my case was to remove the KEBC motor/actuator from the belt cover and apply grease to the actuator shaft where it goes through the belt cover.
Approx 1000 km problem free kms since doing this.

from what i can tell from what you are saying is if you put a new fuse box in it works fine. so i would say it is the fuse box giving you the problem . if i remember right there was a post about the fuses not fitting right . said too bend tabs lightly at fuse box to make tighter fit then aply electric greese to fuse and box tokeep out water my 2 cents
