Default Question re: Jumping the V

I sometimes go to a motocross track and am learning how to jump my V-Force. So I'm a novice at it. As I get better, I'm getting more air and going faster.

This past weekend, I jumped high enough that the bike started falling back to the ground faster than me. So I started hugging the bike with my knees to stay attached. Is this the right thing to do?

Thanks,
Mark

It takes alot of body english to control the V in the air. depends on the jump I recomend landing rear wheels first. But I notice you are running Elkas so jumping your varys from mine.

Default Question re: Jumping the V

I have found my V is very controllable in the air. Letting off or getting on the thumbpad is all I need to control the landing. I have gotten about 8 foot of air on my biggest jump and have traveled at least 60 feet. But I'll admit that jump was a bit to hard on the landing, I think that's about as far/high as I'd go on stock shocks. Only had one bad landing so far when one of my hands came off the bar, turned out ok though.

Overall a very stable machine.
