DG3 Survey: Whos got it? Who's likes it?

Thanks, yeah seems to me the DG3 is a good investment, compared to the Dyna its a great bargain for the performance. I don't care about top speed, mostly 0-50 acceleration, and without any dangerous electrical tricks. Running cooler is a great advantage of course as well. Well I'm sold, I'm ordering one, I'll post what I think when I test er out.

Howdy,
an 02 will definately feel a difference in power. It will also run cooler and start easier. At least that is how it affected my 02. The 03 cdi is not the same as the 02 and it really makes a difference on it. It is an easy installation with instant grin factor when you fire the quad up. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howdy,
I dont think you can put an 03 cdi on an 02. I believe the wiring harness is different. I think the 02 has 2 plugs and the 03 has 3 plugs. You will get pretty close to an 03 if you use a degree key. When I put the DG3 on my 02 Prairie it made enough difference to ruin the belt. It was about time because the belt was 2 years old. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ross650, I see you disconnected your coolant lines from the carbs. Do you really notice the difference? I've always been sceptacle of those heated carbs (as on snowmobiles), I really don't think they do much heating at all, especially the fuel/air temperature anyway as it flows through very fast. I don't know, are you convinced its helping?

Howdy yamihoo,
I cant really tell any difference except here in South Texas where we are, the temperature can top 100 and I want those carbs as cool as possible. I do know that that coolant is hotter than the ambient temperature. None of around here have them hooked up anymore. I guess it is just a" feel good " thing. Have a goodun!!!!!!!

Ross, let me ask you this, is the DG3 module just a plug and play accessory or are there any other mods that need to be made that you will get its full potential. Thanks for your help
