Default never trust a dealer!

Well well well, it seems the carb jets my local Kawasaki dealer just sold me don't have the same threads as the jets in my Kawi bike. Asked the guy if these "cheaper" jets would fit, and he looked me right in the eye ...."sure will!"

Also when I first bought the bike they tried to sell me normal rear tranny oil for my V instead of the special wet brake oil my bike needs, only the passing mechanic saved me on that one.

All that equels to one big fubar! Those guys don't know sh*t! That's the second time they burned me, and in my book 2 strikes is out, not 3!

Order your jets from Sudco. They're not that expensive and they have good customer service.

Thumbs ups Pistonman, Amsoil ATH in the back, mainly 'cause my dealer didn't stock Kawachem, Citgo, or Mobil1....told me to just put some 10-30 oil in the back and not worry about it. Said 10-30 is what they use in everything! They buy it in bulk, Valvoline I think, and use it in engines, gearboxes, and rear diffs....atv's, bikes, whatever. Since they've never serviced a machine of mine, I don't really care, but a bunch of people are getting the shaft.....

here is a good one
called a local kawi dealer and asked them if they could give me the belt deflection specs for a vforce....
they told me that I should really bring it to them to look at because it is SHAFT DRIVEN not BELT DRIVEN.
AND I might not know what i am talking about
and there is no such thing on that atv... they wouldn't want ME to mess it up.
I even know the mechanic he has a hard time changing oil in his truck.
DO NOT TRUST THEM

This happened to me yesterday, went to my dealer to ask what size jets I could order through them, He had 4 sizes that could be ordered but didn't know that the front cyclinder was a different size than the back.

This was a parts guy, but makes you wonder how much they know.

dealers are sweet i mean i had my mojave in for a new axle got it home and it could shake in the bearing carryer i thought wow thats nice

Then a couple years latter the shifting went so off to a different dealer put the motor back in still broke... so after about 2 weeks i just decide to fix it and now it runs and shifts and the axle shake is fixed I am only 15 so dealers do suck

I'm going back to return the jets (they better take them back) and then I'm done with that place.

yes, i have been to three kawasaki dealers and they dont have a clue. i took my polaris to another dealer to get some stuff done and it came back with missing parts. my brother in law took his bombardier to two different dealerships because he got an extended warranty (dumb) because the front brakes were making a nasty noise and it was leaking oil. they said it was normal and nothing is wrong. that is when i decided i better learn to do my own work.

also, my brother in law bent his front bumper on his outlander and took it in to get a new bumper and winch installed. they told him they had put a new bumper on it, but all they did was straighten it and weld a couple spots. i will never go to a dealer again.
