Thinking about a pipe for the P-700....

What's the best pipe for the $$ for the Prairie. Are the aftermarket ones that loud w/ the V-twin, or do they make it sound just that much sweeter?
I do some hunting, so noise is somewhat of an issue. I need to widen the gap between mine and a few friends' machines.
My only other upgrades I'm planning on are the NAPA intake and possibly a twin-air filter. I have ATRs on C-series now.

My vote goes in for either the HMF Mike Penland full system or the FMF Powerline full system. Either will be quiet compared to many others, but still have a nice growl to 'em. And any modifications you make to the intake/exhaust is supposed to really wake the V-Twin up, so I wouldn't worry about how much power it makes.

"What's the best pipe for the $$ for the Prairie"... that would be undoubtedly the NYROC modded stock pipe... Look here...

THanks. I've heard great things about HMF.
I'm thinking since I ride usually around 6,000ft elevation or more, with pipe, filter and stock jetting I'd be OK. Is that a reasonable assumption?

You might be ok to ride the machine normally. If you want to feel the performance gains however from your new investments (pipe, jet kit, filter), rejetting will be required. This goes for any machine no matter what elevation. You're letting more air into and out of the engine. There for, in order to correct the mixture, you have to allow more gas into the system because of the extra air flow if you want to feel the power gains.
