22" V-force wheels on P650/P700 for XC racing?
I'm now looking for a set of stock rims/tires from a V-force to use on my P650 for XC racing. I'm hoping that the smaller size tires will lower my ctr of gravity and improve handling/steering in the tight woods sections.
Has anyone here ever tried using 22" tires for XC racing, and if so, did it help with the handling in sharp turns and help it slide around corners easier? I wonder how much top-speed I might lose with this wheel change? Any ideas?

22" V-force wheels on P650/P700 for XC racing?
Ooops, Newbeatle pointed out that the front rim bolt pattern on the v-force is different than the P650/P700's bolt pattern. So it now appears that I need stock v-force rims/tires for the rear and 10" rims with 4x137 bolt pattern for the front. Does anyone know if there are any sport quads that come with 10" rims and a 4x137 bolt pattern for the front tires?

I drag raced a guy that had a 650 with 22" paddle tires. Smoked him bad in a 200 foot drag. His RPM's were up way too high. Maybe with the right clutch weights and springs it wouldn't be so bad. Machining the primary might get back some of the top speed also. 25" down to 22" is a 13% change; That would take a top speed of 65mph down to 56.5mph. You wouldn't lose quite that much as you would be able to carry a higher RPM.

thats a tuff one on the 4/137. i have seen 4/137 while looking all over many web pages for 10x10 wheels and have seen 12x7 which are useless for me and i am preety sure i found 4/137 10x7 and 10x8 . the v force are the same as honda on the front 4/144. i.ll ck.

Schl48a,
Actually, I think I will need a 10"x5" rim with 4x137 bolt pattern for the front rim. I have no problems finding rims/tires for the rear (stock V-force wheels should work fine).

i save alot of stuff when i am searching and going threw it i couldn.t find 1 10x5,10x6 or even 10x7 4/137 wheel. 12x 7 not a problem. with my 4/137 rears i had to buy two halfs and drill them to get 10 in wide wheels. if you could get some blank 10x5 you could drill them.

Schl48a,
I just got off the phone with Newbeatle (Mike W.) and he found a custom atv rim maker (www.keizerwheels.com) that carries the exact size/bolt pattern that I was looking for (with reasonable prices I might add). Thanx again for your replies above.
