Default Hey KFX400 owners....

I plan on picking one up in the fall and Im going to set it up for Ice racing. My brother has a Z400 and I set it up last year and it runs strong. His was piped and running a jet kiy and K&N. Im looking at putting a 450 kit in the KFX, Is ther any good recommendations? Is the money worth the power gains? And does the After market CDI work? Let me know whats up!

Default Hey KFX400 owners....

As you know it all comes down to how much $$$ you have to spend!!! Here's what I recommend...

You can send your cylinder off to a place called Millenium Technologies to have it bored (NOT RESLEEVED!) to a 434 and have it re-nikasiled to boot. Very relaible bore and a VERY cheap price around $300. Pick up a set of HotCams for $250 shipped, a FCR 40mm from Service Honda for $340, and a Dyna Ignition for about $250 and let me tell say you won't regret it! It will rip your V-Force a new one I can tell you that right now!! After all is said and done, just to go on the expensive side, you will spend around $1500 and have one smokin quad...as long as you know how to tune, but thats not hard.
