yeah, im lookin to buy a kfx400 as a first atv
and i was wondering if anybody has any suggestions
of used machines for me to look in to and possibly buy one.

i dont have any knowledge of this particular machine besides
the fact that it comes in green and its 2 wheel drive with a 400
as the powerhouse...

i have ridden before (not a kfx400) but it was a bayou 220
a p650 and a p400

please give me some suggestions on buying or anything on the 400

It is an all around awesome machine. You simply cannot go wrong with it no matter what type of riding you do except maybe deep mudding. Good luck!

 

Yeah, it is a good all around bike. It handles nice and rides pretty good.

 

thanx guys, its good to know its a good machine...i do have a few questions though...
1)how does it handle in snow say 6 inches deep?
2)does it have good low end torque and high end speed?
3)does it run rough in cold temps (20-40 deg.) and how does it run in higher temps (80-95 deg.)?

just a few questions for u kfx riders out there...thanks in advance for any responses!

 

I love mine , it runs great in the cold temps I have here , it will out ride a Raptor but not bet one top end , 400 EX's dont have a chance
