Default Releasing Mojave rear brakes

Hi there,
This is my first post and here I am asking for help...... Anyway, the rear brakes on my Mojave are shot I was wondering how to back off the calibres for the new pads. It has a cable actuator over the hydraulic and prying the pads back just doesn't seem to cut it. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks, Bruce

Do you have the caliper off the disk?

Yep, I've got it off of the disk and was having trouble recompressing the caliper. I ended up taking the adjustment apart for the E-brake which piggybacks on the back of the caliper, and bleeding the slave cylinder of a little fluid to get it to compress. Right now I am having trouble moving the E-Brake adjustment so I can remount it back to the calper......and I'm waiting for new pad-holder bolts as one of the previous owners put them in there crossways.....

You should just buy a ebrake block of plate they are only like 8 bucks. I will link you to one, give me a little while to find them. I have one on mine and it is alot easier. Putting one on allows you to get ride of the bulky clutch perch.

Thanks. I'll give them a try if I can't get the E-brake sorted out, but I think that I would sooner keep it as an option.
Cheers
