So Mickey, can you give us any idea on what that chain conversion is going to cost?

I don't know how much it's going to cost. I figure if I have to ask how much it will be I can't aford it so I'm just doing it.

when racing GNCC you would you still be able to compete in a utility class without shaft drive?

I know from alot of unfortunate experiences that high hp atv's that are chain driven are prone to "some sort of let down" in the chain area alot more often than a shaft drive plus the V weighs 100+ pounds more.

BUT It does give you the option to make a longer swingarm and obtain more gearing options.

Yes it can still run in the utility class. There is no problem with running a chain drive as long as it is made right, and this one is. This has longer travel and a 1 inch longer swing arm.

Mickey,
Only one inch longer in length....is that long enough? Changing ratios is a definate benefit, will the chain hold up to the riggers of a big bore? See Where I am leading with this!!!!!

The chain is a 530 I believe, the same as a big bore street bike. I don't want to know where your going with this!lol. One inch works good for all around riding.

Skat trak was in vegas last weekend for the vegas to reno race, I went to tech inspection and got to talk to ken stuart from skat trak the guy that built it, I asked him the same question, how much he said around five thousand, it was a 530 chain, it looked like quite a bit of frame work to beef it up for all that torq, plus the case I would have to be split, looked like a lot of man hours, but if you can't run at least 90 out here in a desert race one of those class 8 unlimited trucks will just run you over.
