does any one know what the PRI means on the kfx400. It has no "reserve" option on the gas valve thing. It has "on" "off" and "pri" what does PRI mean? any one?

PRI stands for Prime. That threw me off also. I though it meant Primary. Just keep it on "On". I finally decided to learn the fuel settings after I ran out of gas in the middle of Pismo dunes. Had to do something while I sat there and waiting for a buddy to come back with a gas can so I decided to read the manual.

It has an OFF? The z has ON, PRI, and RES. ON is off, cuz it's a vacuum fed position. In other words, no suck, no go. PRI on the other hand is a gravity fed position, in case you dry out the carb you can prime it.

so whats your saying is, keep it on the "on" option and say i let it sit for 5 months.. theres no gas in the carb, so i might want to switch it to "pri" til it starts? and there is no reserve option right? *i dont actually own a kfx.. my friend does and he's a lazy Fu**er and wont look in the manual...*

It has reserve. ON, PRI, RES. It has no OFF. ON is OFF. When you read the manual, it says to turn it to the ON pos. to remove the fuel tank, if it is the PRI position, it'll spill gas everywhere.
