Default 2005 Prarie 360!!!!!

Are there any changes from the '04 model (4x4)? My dealer quoted me $5499 for the '05 4x4 model!! What's up with that? The '04 4x4 models were $5199 (accoridng to the website), which means there must be changes, right? Why doesn't Kawi's website tell us about all the '05 models at once, or are they?

Or am I misinterpreting Kawi's website? On the Prarie webpage, every caption about the P700 mentions the "2005 lineup", but nothing is mentioned about the "2005 lineup" on the P360 captions. They are going to keep the P360 right??? If so, what will be the changes from '04?

I'm not aware of any changes from 04' - 05'.. I thought I read that Kawi was possibly coiming out with a 500 but I havn't seen or heard of it since.. I punched up Kawi website & it states $5199 Suggested retail price for the 05, (wich you should actually be able to get for around $4800 at the most in my opinion) Too look at the 05' specs click on 2005 ATV models on there hompe page. I would recomend a new dealer or at least have this dealer punch Kawi's numbers up on there website..

Also, I wanted to add that the dealer said there were no changes between the '04 and '05 models, which is exactly why I'm asking if you guys have heard or read aything aboutit from a reliable source. The dealer wouldn't have any incentive for telling me there is no diference would he????-wink-wink

You could possibly get that out the door, I seem to read some great deals for 360's & 700's on the forum I dont know exactly what the dealers cost is but I'm guessing it around $4300 or so (dont know for sure) when I bought mine in 03" Kawi suggested price was $5499 & I got mine $5100 without tax or costs, but I was trading another bike in so I know I got ripped. I certainly wouldn't pay anymore then $4800 before tax, & I'm sure you could probably do better then that, but again I havn't shopped the market recently, this is just the info I have gathered on this board.

There was a price reduction on the prairie 360 ,the retail was $5499 and it dropped to $5199. I work for a dealer, the price reduction was announced a couple of weeks ago.

in 04 it was 5499 but in 05 its 5199 , they eliminated the bayou 300 4x4 and 2x4 and my guess is thats why they lowered the price.... your dealer needs an update and they usually quate you less than the msrp unless your calling or online, then its msrp, they dont want any information out, if u know what i mean..

Thanks again for the replies and keep'em comin'! Also, any tips on playing the "dealer game" would be appreciated.

Speaking of, I live about 10 miles from the state border, so I may be able to save by not having to pay state taxes. This may be the route that I go because so far, of all the dealers I've spoken to on the phone (including my local dealer, whom I don't care for), the out of state dealers have quoted lower prices. This being said, I have yet to talk to my dealer or any other in person about a P360, which, as someone mentioned earlier will probably reveal a lower price. And so the games begin. . .

By the way, should I wait until the '05 models hit the floor or does it matter since so far the dealers have maintained that there will be no difference between '04 and '05 models (which tells me not to expect a lower price for the '04 model, which I think is BS).

Thanks again.

in this forum we call them stealers and in ny you can always try to threaten them with lines from scarface or casino, goodluck anyway, in the dealer keep talking about the bruin, they hate that bc its so cheap and new and good looking, also pretend a buddy has a bruin and its a fact the bruin is faster than the 360 , it may wear him down a bit, gl

Roscoe, I like that part about the Bruin, except that my local "stealer" sells Yamaha too! Maybe I could brag on a good deal my buddy got and work the angle that way like I'm realy torn between Honda and Kaw. Anyhow, keep the advice rolling. I'm all ears.
