Default BRUTE FORCE TODAY

I'm first in line for a new Brute from my dealer. I was first in line when the V-Forces and 03 Prairies came out as well so I am on fairly good terms with the manager of the dealership. I bet he would let me run the Brute up against one of his new stock V's. The problem is he isn't slated to have a BF for a couple of weeks... :-( If I don't see a post on here with a run between the two before I get mine, I'll do the race and report back.

BIGGERISBETTER,

Should be a good time. I just sent you a PM. Maybe this weekend? I'd also like to drag a P700 to see the difference.

FYI, I called Dynatek today and they advised that they didn't know whether or not you could use a P700 CDI in the BF and didn't know when they would know. Anyone else know anything?

I suggest that you get the p/n for the BF's cdi. This p/n is not yet up on the Kaw. website (parts diagram), so you might have to find the p/n at your dealership or by calling Kaw.'s customer service (1-800#). If the p/n of BF's cdi is identical to the '03 - '04 Prairie's cdi, then I see no reason why the Dyna cdi won't work on the BF.

Happy trails...

The Brute will stay with a p700, and a p700 will beat a V in 300 ft.

So I will let you do the math.

BOMBMAN,

If the BF was modded as yours is, than the BF would walk off and leave you. Stock for stock a P700 can not stay with a BF. I've owned both, the power difference isn't as drastic as it is between the P650 and the P700 but there is a difference you can feel, especially on the low end.

No need to take up arms, they're both GREAT quads and both are faster than any other utility. He!!, I miss my P700, I might buy one just to have for the tight trails.

From what I've heard about the new King Quad it sounds like it's a cross between a P700 & a BF. If that's true I'm going with the KQ when it comes out. The price is much cheaper that the BF too!
