How in the world could anybody go back to a single cylinder after running the beautiful VTwin?
It's beyond my comprehension how anybody could go for the PUTT PUTT PUTT BLAAA compared to the VEROOM RUMBLE RUMBLE RUMBLE of the V.
For me it would be like going from a motorcycle back to a ten speed bicycle.
I will NEVER go back(wards),
You got to LOVE the V and it's only offered by KAWASAKI.

I couldn't agree more. After riding that smooth V-Twin, I wouldn't even consider a single cylinder engine machine. I'm sure the King Quad will be a fine machine, but unless they add that sercond cylinder, I'm not at all interested. I've never been brand blind. I'll ride the machine which I consider the best. Right now (for me) that is the 2003 Prairie 650. At this point the only other machine I'd consider would be the Prairie 700. I've not been hearing good things about the Brute Force, but once the dust settles, it might be in the running.

Moo,

The plusses to the sprag clutch on the yami and suzi:
1. better for pulling on heavy stuff that won't budge so the belt doesn't burn.
2. longer belt life.
3. smoother, more consisten engine braking at low speeds. No flaky KEBC actuator.
NYROK,

A stock p650 clutched will out pull a modded @ clutched griz no prob in a heavy class.

I have been to a atv pull where there were no rules, run what you brung, umlimited weight and hitch height. My p650 weighted in at 2,000 lbs- I had 4 26X12X12 tractor tires on it.

All the grizzs could even pull it out, there tires would barely even spin.(weighted less than 2,000 lbs)

3 pull offs later I lost to a SP 700(weighted over 2,000 lbs), but I toasted my belt.

There is no benifits to the sprage clutch, the kawi CVT is a second behind polaris's CVT.

Another thing all V twin owners need to be aware of that a stock Quest 650 will pull a stock p650/700 on top end by quite a bit. So thats good news 4 potential KQ owners.

In and issue of ATV MAG there were some dyno runs 4 a big bore shootout.
The p650 had a peak power of 31 hp 1st
The Q650 had a peak power of 30 hp 2nd

If the KQ followes this example it will be the fastest 4X4 by far.
I would expect KQ to have a peak around 35 or so.

I want to wait until I see some reviews on the KQ before I jump though. I've never owned a Suzuki, just a P650, SP 700 and a P700. I'm VERY addicted to the V-Twin. Also, you know Yamaha is going to update since they haven't updated the Grizz since 2002. Nyroc, your thoughts?
what package deal are you getting? (ex. adventure) and what colour? we have a pewter metallic adventure series.

heyyou, thanks for the tip on the secondary clutch. Where were you 3 years ago? LOL. My oil in both the Kodiak and the P650 come out black. Most of the time I change my oil around 300 miles
