Default My turn on the Brute

Dealer got a green one today took it for a spin.........I will try to be as detailed as possible, I could not find a fuel petcock on it anywhere, and I couldn't find the mixture screws on the carbs either, they must be there somewhere, this has to be the most "dialed in" set of carbs I've ridden, awesome throttle response, muffler is deeper than a Pra. sounds more like a V-Force........only a short distance to ride at the dealer so no top speed, the bottom end and mid-range is awesome, lots of power, the bike is BIG and feels bigger than the Pra. ride is like a sponge, body roll is not as bad as the Grizz, and turning feels alot like a Pra, with more lean and body roll.....No it doesn't corner or handle like the straight axle Pra. but it isn't bad at all, it handles better than any IRS quad I've ridden, but I've rode a Rincon for a short distance, made a deal, will probably get a red or the lovely "mustard" brown/yellow........Kaw has a shootout winner on it's hands.....Until I ride a Suzuki 700, it will be hard for me to imagine this bike being 2nd and not number 1.............OH BEFORE I FORGET, I looked under the seat and guess what?????A three plug mitsubishi igniter, just like the 700 and 03' 650! The Dyna will plug right up.......

Good report, and the power gets better when it's broken in. I wanted the red too, but took the Green.

So would the CDI for the P700 work for this one too??? Hmmm.... I was going to get rid of my CDI if I sold my Prairie, but maybe I'll keep it now.

On the outside they look the same, they may be different internally, but I doubt Kaw would have spent the money and effort to change the timing curve on it when they didn't on the 650/700......Also the rear driveshafts have U-joints with grease fittings for better maintanance......
