"Real World" Wheel'in...
#1
It's still good to talk about regular wheeling... I kind of got accused of not being a "real world" wheeler, because of the testing I do at the drag strip, or the other ATV racing, that I do ... I still enjoy greatly, getting out on to the trails... I still like to ride fast, but in this world, of "bigger is better"... for some conditions, the "little Prairie" is still big enough...
I still enjoy pounding a trail, more than anything... 2 weekends ago, my riding buds & I went over to the "bluff trails", along the Mississippi river, between Minnesota, & Wisconsin... we road all day, between 2 trails ( MN DNR trails, Snake Creek, & Trout Valley )... it was lightly raining, & I took over our 300 Prairie, instead of my 750, since the big Prairie was drag raced the night before, & not ready for the muddy trails... I had just as much fun on our 300, as I would have, on the 750... infact, my buddy with a 650 Prairie, had too much power for the greasy clay conditions of some spots on the trail, & I was able to go fast enough, to have fun, & still relieve stress ( trail pounding = high speed stress relief )... the trails are pretty different, even though they are only 5-10 miles apart... Snake Creek, is muddier, & generally less rocky, & Trout Vally has several very rocky hills... the change in elevation, is about 300ft on the hills... they've had alot of rain lately, & I called the DNR to make sure they were open... on one little used, downward hill, at Snake creek, we came to a section that had several 2ft drop offs in a row, then a steep enough angle after them, that it was difficult to slow the quad down, in the drizzle, on the loose rocks... after that, we even slowed down, for a lap, long enough to look for mushrooms ( my wifes hobby ), & we found 30-35 lbs of awesome edible mushrooms... in my mind, it does't get any more real world than that... have you got any good trail riding stories ???

I don't know who has put you on a pedestal Mike, but, you are definitely a real world ATV rider. I'll ride with you guys any day. Speaking of which, what do you have cooking next weekend? Interested in a WI ride maybe? PM me. I have a conflict I am trying to resolve though.
Also, let me know what time breakfast is.... Sally makes a mean breakfast with those shrooms. Mmmmmm. I wouldn't want to miss that.

DWB... coincidentally, Dan just mounted up a set of the Badlands radials, & was wanting to go back over to try them out, on the trail...
... I'm also waiting on a proto type module to test on the strip, ( unofficially ... top secret ) , & I believe ALLTOY's was sending one also, to test on the strip... if you really want to do something let me know... of course Sally will cook up some eggs & shrooms for breakfast if you're staying over...
