Where is the battery located on the mojave? I've thought about seeing if I could fabricate a bracket for the battery to relocate it to the front of the frame kinda like where a winch would go.

Oh, duh, I should have remembered that. Yeah, Newduck, I had been looking at the SurTraks also. They look like a good tire. Ok, stupid question time ... could I use the durablue 1.5" front spacers for the rear? I mean, they are made the same way and are the same bolt pattern aren't they? Or would they be too weak due to the thickness?

Newduck, In my pictures, I have a picture of my mojave. In picture #24, you can see the mud busters if, you maximize the photo. Lt. Dan

just by looking at them and your pics of where you ride i think the sur tracks will fit your needs best.

I think I'll go with sur traks. Besides, I like their looks better than the mud buster. Newduck, did you have to trim the tire any to fit it or does it have enough clearance to not hit the battery?

my tires rub up against the battery but i dont see any bad affects. but also if you put more air in your tires they wont rub against it.

Well, I decided to go with titan 489xt's as I really like the tread pattern. The atvconnection article on lakota mods says they do really well in mud. Actually, the deciding factor was that I can get them from Nebraska Tire for $70 grand total with shipping and everything. I should get them in Monday and hopefully will have them in a mud hole as soon as I get them mounted. I'll let ya all know how they do!
