Default Prairie clunk noise in 4X4

I did a search here and found a lot of others who hear clunking coming from their drivetrain area. Mine only does it while in 4X4, and only while letting off the gas, or going downhill. It really sounds trashy, but going uphill, or accelerating, no noise at all. And in 2WD, it disappears as well. Is this noise normal?

I hear the same thing and I think it is the gears or whatever in the rear end. It could also have something to do with the KEBC, because like you said, it only happens when you let off the gas.

I found it to be adjustment, push the shift lever all the way forward and hold, then let off gas, the clunking stopped on mine so I knew it need adjustment.

Do you mean the adjuster under the airbox cover?
