This is a short review that I wrote for another forum:

Well, I picked my 2005 camo Brute Force up on Thursday (7/15) and took it riding on Friday night and Saturday. Here is my first impressions of the new ride:

The quad is real big looking. It looks tall and long and real mean looking. However, it rides much smaller than it actually is. It feels very light and nimple for the actual size of it. Part of this is attributable to the light steering in 2wd and the powerful engine lets you use the throttle to help manage obstacles.

The power of this quad is incredible. It will pull power wheelies in low gear and is a total roost machine in high gear. When you give it full throttle from a start, the rear end squats some and launches the quad out of the hole. The engine pulls strong all the way up through the acceleration range. I have not topped it out yet to see how fast it will go.

The suspension is awesome on this thing. I started with the lowest shock setting and it was very plush. I increased the setting one notch all around. Still very plush, but reduces the squatting under take off. I didn't do any jumping to see if I need to increase it some more. The IRS works great, however, I have never ridden any other IRS quad to compare it to. I really didn't notice any body roll, but I didn't ride anything real technical either. One tricky little hill isn't enough to get a feel for the body roll.

Probably my only complaint with this quad is the lack of radiator protection. Kawasaki moved the radiator up to keep it out of the mud, but they didn't put any mud protection underneath the radiator. I went through one mudhole and got the radiator plugged enough to make the hot light come one about a mile or two down the road. I stopped and let it cool down and cleaned the radiator out and there was no more problems. I will have to carry a water bottle along for this purpose.

I will post some pics when I get a chance. My wife wouldn't let me take her digital camera out riding, so I only got a few pics of it on standard film.

The only thing that I would add to this is the stock tires aren't the best. I didn't have much problem with traction, but some wider tires with a little more sidewall strenght and better tread would make a would help make this an awesome handling quad.

magnummudman,
thanks for your reply/review! My brother was really interested in buying the p700 but he didnt like the feel of the ride compared to my sp700. He really like the independent rear suspension and now that the bf750 has that he loves it, plus the the extra cc's so he can dust me....but these are utility atvs not sport bikes....i use mine for plowing food plots and spreading lime and seed and the occational race and riding through the swamps. It is funny that you mentioned the protection of the radiator or lack of... my brother and i noticed that also.. the dealer said there should be some aftermarket parts out ex. front brush guards and maybe skid plates by the end of the month or middle of aug. hope so.... ? how is the camo...that is what my bro plans on getting since he noticed how few scratches my camo shows? looks like it will hold up pretty good? hopefully the dealer will be getting one in by the end of the month...got a deposit down on it

thanks again for the reply
any other reviews would be appreciated

The camo is sweet looking. It looks just like the camo on the P700. Has a nice look to it. I am glad that I ponied up the extra money to get the camo pattern, plus it won't hurt for hunting also.

I am thinking about getting some plastic and just making up some inside fenders to keep mud from getting on the radiator from the tire splash. I don't do a ton of mudding, but sometimes you can't avoid a mud hole and the tires just throw mud onto the radiator.

those mud holes are kinda aggrevating and can cause problems....while riding last year through the swamps and muddin two p650 had to stop off at a nearby house and hose off their atvs and clean out the radiators (running hot/ lights flashing)....more protection is much needed....good luck with making the new inner fenders... please let me know how they turn out

thanks again
