Default ADDED A TP700

I sold my P700 and bought a BF. I needed a second quad but I was going to wait and buy a KQ700 or a SP800. Then I started to miss my SRA and thought that I already have an IRS quad in the BF. Well, I gave in and bought a Twin Peaks 700 (blue) today. Man, I'm glad I did. It's great to have SRA again!!

I thought it would be beneficial to the room to have a side by side comparison of the two. I'll be doing a comparison in the coming weeks as soon as the P700 is properly broken in.....

Yea, and I thought I was well off.
Humm I looked at the Sandpiper Toy Hauler I would love to have.
Just wish I could snap and it would be there. And paid off.

I do what I can guys, lol.

Anyway, before I go too in depth with the comparison, let me say this. I did some high speed trails tonight with both machines one right after the other. I rode the BF first, then the TP700. There is simply NO comparison, the TP700 wins this hands down. It's more stable, it's easier to slide and it tracks better. The BF is VERY powerful but IRS quads are at a disadvantage here. It wanders in the corners compared to the TP700 and the BF even has ITP ATR's. You have to slow down to a much slower speed to make turns with the BF. The TP700 is much lower to the ground and is much easier to muscle around. In this competition, the TP700 wins easily. If you are trying to decide which one to get and you ride mostly on trails, the decision should be simple: get the TP700/P700.

More to follow....

Cam650,
Excellent report! I have been very curious to know how the BF and a new P700 would compare for fast trail riding/XC racing and your report seems to reflect what MOST (but not all) have said about the BF's handling as compared to the P700. Personally, I find it much easier to believe what you said above (that P700 can maneuver faster in tight trail conditions as compared to BF750). Of course, I won't know for sure until I get a chance to ride the BF for myself (still waiting on my riding buddies to pony up and buy one!).

Happy trails...

Mikey,

Trust me, the ones that tell you that their BF can handle as well as a P700/TP700 are very misinformed. The difference is night and day in this area.
