I guess I need a better setup or even better a separate computer for the website.

Kod, I didn't realize your website would be such a hot ticket. Everyone seems to want to get on it. My website does not do this funny business, but I don't run my website from my WinXP desktop either.

There are a couple of things we can try. Of course a separate PC would be the easiest for me to help you with, that way it would not affect your boy's video games. You would use a different OS that would allow more connections (win2k or linux). Everybody would still be able to get on the internet. It would not need to be a fast PC, so it could be a little on the cheap side (not too cheap). You would not need a new mouse or monitor since you could just use a KVM. It could sit to the right of your desk on the floor.

There are other options to make your PC have more concurrent connections, but they are all very tough to do for me from this distance. One of which is apache (free), which I have used before but it took me a long time to get it configured just right. I have never used apache on windows. I wouldn't want to tell you to do that while you and I are busy doing other stuff. If you had a second PC, I could have it all set up in no time. I could even talk you through it over the phone.

Well, to be honest I never thought it would take off like it has either.

KOD,

If you convert those videos to MPEG, they will be about a 1/8 of the size they are right now. Less bandwidth=much happier website.

He knows. I already told him about one product he can use. I was using stoik, but it doesn't work on my hi res videos. I found another product that works. I shrink em down teeny even thought they look "smokey" from low res and compression. That way people on dial up can at least see something without waiting all day.
