KFX V Force....Please Help! Several Questions!
vtwiner: Thanks alot for the added info...it actually helps alot, i am leaning tward one so far, only now i am wondering where do i get these Dalton clutch kits, Dalton overdrive cover, HPD...Springs and stuff from???? are they under a few grand for me to make this thing pretty quick.....
Like i said it will get stripped first thing, as i gotta get it preped...
I only like the Z400because its easy as $hit for me to mod, and bring it up to par for where i need it to run.....
Parts are easy to get, its a great machine, actually enjoyed it more then my raptor because of comfort, reliability, and basically it never had any problems.....the only time the raptor was good was for blazing around, it handled well but as soon as i did the motor, the reliablility went out the window! Now i am stuck with it stripped to stock and doing a trade-in on friday!

No man, don't go to the dealer for anything but the bike. The only thing the dealership is good for is the drinking water and bathrooms. I got my V up to speed for under a grand. Being a racer, you'll probably want different shocks because the origional suspension sucks when then the speeds are high. I still have the origional shocks since I do mostly trails and drags. Here's a list of places to get the power you need
clutch weights and overdrive cover- www.daltonindustries.com
exhaust and jet kit- www.rockymountainatv.com
intake mods "A must"- Save your money and do what I did "pictures"
primary spring- Dalton or HPD. I had the best results with the HPD plain 55/216
good luck....

That's strange. Do a search on Rick ritter. He carries Dalton here in the US. When you install the heavier Dalton weights on your clutch, it brings the stall of the primary spring down. The hpd plain's stall is barely noticable with the weights. By the way, the heavier weights grip the belt tighter not allowing any slippage. Also, there's a great site on modding the V and it gives you step by step instructions. it's

Here is Rick Ritters site RCR. You can ask anyone of the Polaris guys that have dealt with him, that his customer service is second to none! He will go out of his way to make sure you are happy. And I do know that he carries Dalton and HPD products.
