I need a few porformance parts for my 86 kawasaki bayou?? i already have ngk spark plugs and i took off the air box and put on a uni clamp on air filter oh and made a custom grill sharp. looks like a prarie not bad for its age please im racing a go kart.. I beat it stock out on the ice!

 

i think cobra makes a pipe or just mod yours

 

Yeah i saw that in a dennis kirk mag but they only have replacement parts for it! Besides i got some stupid neighbors so il get the cobra on ebay oh yeah is it loud i heard its really loud!

 

The cobra pipe with the spark arrestor is quieter than the one without it. The one without it is bout $20 cheaper. There are next to no performance mods for the bayou of any year or diplacement. If you add the cobra pipe you may need to re jet. K&N sells a "perormance kit" for some bayou's, but its little more than a filter and some jets.

 

Loud isn't good!

 

Well i need loud around here theres a honda oddessy 350 and a 250 they can beat me on low but i ran it full out and i dont think they have a chance! oh how about a porting job? can you get me the part number for k&n jet kit? How about puttin in anothter motor? that has a lot of mods?

What do you mean when loud isnt good? custom fab and weld? Try welddin on a custom grill mine looks great want pics?

Is your machine a 300, like mine? If it were me, I wouldn't spend too much money on mods(porting, and other expensive mods), just because it's not a good base quad for speed. I have a Bayou, and it's a great quad, but if you are going to modify a 300, go with the 300 Ex, or a comparable Kawi quad. Loud is irritating to a lot of people, and it isn't always faster. Anyway, good luck with her, and post some pics of your custom grill!
