I use only distilled water and Water Wetter in my prairie year round. Of course, I'm located in Southern California so its safe for me to do so. You can run Water Wetter/Water/Anti-Freeze thus eliminating the need to drain it in the winter. A Red Line rep told me that Water Wetter works best when used with only distilled water, but you will see improvement even adding to your anti-freeze mixture.
I was under the impression that the Brute Force had a larger radiator (than the Prairie)? If there are even minor overheating issues I've become positive that I'll turn my upgrade thoughts away the BF and towards the Prairie 700 (I currently have the 2003 Prairie 650). Cooling issues are much magnified in this part of the country!

I went for a ride today and noticed an improvement by adding the water wetter and there is considerably less heat coming out of the left side of the machine due to the header wrap I put on. The fan is still on a lot but for not as long, I still have to check one thing, I noticed the coolant level doesn't change in the overflow tank so maybe the over flow tube is clogged with mud not letting the coolant expand and contract in the system I'll keep you posted
