4 degree key and dyna works, smokes 400EX
#1
I have the dyna and 4 degree key and raced a kid with a Honda 400EX 3 times today.
I smoked him 3-4 quads, maybe more he was so far back in 500 feet.
He was highly modded with exhaust, carb, custom airbox and more I do not remember.
He said there was no way I could win basically. Not in exact words, but I knew what he meant.
Anyway he was claiming he could do 75-78 mph.
That opened up the opportunity to race. Was not even close and there is one humbled kid that thought there sport was so fast. His little brother even said I can't believe a utility beat a sport.
I'm stoked.

Don't sound right but is fun for sure.
Now I'm looking for one of those raptor guys. That even sounds weird doesn’t it?
I know someone that has a raptor and maybe we can get together.
He knows I'm modded as he is.
I want to race and think it will be close 300-500 feet.
This dyna cdi and key has moved my speed into the raptor class I think.

Cuda440 key was put in before dyna, I did it with dg3 and performance was good. After dyna I picked up 2 seconds in a dirt 330 foot stretch.
Customfabandweld I did get some knocking after running some hills and took it to dealer. I told him what I had done I was under the impression I needed to run premium gas and on top of that I added octane booster in gas, because of the advance of timing.
Bad news just run 87-91 with no booster. I was getting a knock with the additive. Pre- ignition I guess so went back to regular. They drained gas and knock cleared up.
Since then I have had no problem in fact seems to have better power with just 87 octane gas. Seems funny but it works.
I should add that the higher you go the less octane needed per shop mechanic.
I am at 4500 feet and he said I over shot by adding the octane booster.

sounds great... I just got my CDI today... I'm already spanking most sport quads, with my highly modified FST 750 Prairie... I expect that with the better timing advance & higher rev limit, this will put me in the 80 mph 1/4 speed range... whoo hoo... time to hit the strip again...
