Default V force (Clutch and Secondary spring) ?

I have a 04 vforce and I was wondering wath would be the best set up for climbing hills and having more top speed. I was thinking that a 4 stroke should be geared up since it makes most of his HP at a lower RPM than a 2 stroke. I was thinking of changing the clutch spring for a softer one since the V is reving alot stock. I am also thinking that if I put a softer spring there migth be a problem when I let go of the gas and punch it again. My thinking is that the clutch might not close fast enough and it would run out of power. I am looking for some people that have tried different set up and what spring works better. Thank You REG

I have the EPI pink it solves the flat spot that you hit around 40mph and pulls better from bottom to top. As far as more top end from my understanding the only thing you can do is get the motor to rev higher with CDI and the dalton Over drive clutch kit that lets the belt go a little higher up the sheaves. Costs to much to regear have to have a set custom cut.

The best thing to do is visit nyroc's site and check out his spring chart and get an understanding on how these springs work. At 12-15 bucks each, buy a couple and try 'em out. That is pretty much what we've all been doing, trial and error until we find the one that works best for the riding we each do.

Heathens advice is good, I am getting a couple different polaris springs from a buddy who has them for snowmobiles just to try some different ones out.

DirtVH, can you still easily wheelie your V after installing the pink spring.

Bottom end is still the same with the Pink spring just fixes the flat spot at around 40 mph. I can still wheelie at anything under 20mph by just giving it full throttle and sitting back a little. I did not add any shims so mine is just like it was stock on the bottom end. Each shim adds like 300 rpm stall a lot of guys add a couple shims to launch a little harder too, I liked the stock launch.
