I am assuming that the Lakota has a rev limiter, but the question is how to get a higher rev, rev limiter. I am in the process of doing some MAJOR mods to my Lakota and i dont know if the rev limiter is going to hold me dowm. Any Info on this would be a great help.

I dont know to much about Kawasakis, I just got a 2001 400ex and its my first bike. I was just interested in what mods you are doing to your bike? Just so you know, I am already a member of Sac-Up Racing. I am a part of your Northern Division up in the hills of Auburn. I was also wondering when I am going to get my damn Race gear! Any ways let me know what your plans are on your bike.

The rev limiter on the Lakota is not as big a problem as it is on the Mojave. Do what ever mods you plan and get the jetting dialed in. Then ride it like you plan on riding most of the time. If you are shifting before you begin to sputter from the rev limiter you dont need to worry about it. Save your money. A friend that rides with me has a Lakota with a Supertrapp, K&N, Mojave carb(2mm bigger) and a 13 tooth sprocket. It never hits the rev limiter (I'm guessing it has one), but Mojaves hit it in every gear even stock because it so over precautious. I have removed the limiter from my Mojave but we have not found it necessary to remove it on his Lakota.
