My friend has a Prairie 300 4x4 and I have to say for a stock machine it does well and I'm not a Kawi fan ... well until I seen the new 650 v-twin ad! He is a mudder as well .. always the first one into a mud hole! We just got back off a rally on the weekend and his back brake has a bit of mud in it, but still works great. The front diff was fine, but the back rearend did have water in it. He has had problems with belt slippage in mud and the belt housing filled with water one time and was a bit of a job to drain it. Another thing was the job to get at the plug ... I think that is a pain. The dealer also put a new belt in, I think free of charge, even though he said it shouldn't have been effected by the recall.

My dad has the 300 4x4 and it does just fine in the mud. When he first got it and the tires where new he could flop right through the same mud my 400 was struggling through. Showed us what good tread meant.
