Mojave jetting on the spot, except for cold starts.
#1
I'm having a hard time starting my Mojave since I messed with the jetting after a clamp on filter last week. It literally takes 10-12 kicks to start when its dead cold. After it warms up its starts immediately, from reading it looks like the idle air mixture screw would have the most effect on this???? Should I try leaning it out or going richer, I'm 2 turns out on the screw now per the dynojet jetting instructions for my mods. Any suggestions, my leg is getting sore lol.

i would richen the screw...go amybe 1/4 to 1/2 turn at a time until you notice it getting better..i say richen because when you use the choke to start something it is essentially richen the mixture by reducing the amount of air available at that time if i am correct...not 100% tho...

let warm up. adjust mixture screw to best idle. should take 3 turns or less if the pilot is the right size. then you may want to turn the screw a 1/4 turn richer for easier cold starts. However your choke should take care of cold starts.
It enrichens the mixture to help cold starting. Are you using the choke? Is there any difference between using the choke or not when cold starting?
