When to use low range?

yea........
I would use low range like you guys say to do, for normal trail riding with speeds from 20-35mph but i would think that i would get much worse gas milage, becase the motor is reving alot higher in low then it would if i were in high! I also find that the KEBC engages alot more in low then it does when it is in High.....
I personally dont like Low for when i am decending steep hills....
I had an arctic cat once and it fliped over front first because the engine braking was sooo severe!
I see that it would keep the tires rolling, as it will just go over something, rather then using the back brake and locking the rear tires, keeping you in control!
