I just got back from riding in Coos Bay. I was talking to a gentleman who also had a V and he said that they were making a cast piece (with shaft extension) to extend your swingarm. Anyone know anything about it?

 

who is this they? i think that would probably do nothing but make some reliability issues and not much else..i do know that scat tracks has 1 chain driven model already built and running and are considering it for production pending on demand but it is going to be pricey...but then again it would also allow a nice way to lengthen the rear..(ie longer swingarm and chain)...plus the gearing changes it would allow would be awesome...scat tracks is hitting over 90 mph with their prototype.

What is scat trax doing with the rear breaks on the V in that conversion?

 

I ran into three guys who all had a V. We were talking about how we liked them and comparing what mods we have done and there results. One of the guys said they (don't know who they were) were making a extended cast piece with a shaft extension for the V force.
It would be nice to have 3-4 more inches on the swing arm if it didn't add to much weight. I have the DG snorkel, a few vents in the airbox, minor rejetting and I just started riding the new 24 X 11 Skat Track Extreme Haulers and this thing screams......Love it.
