A wheeler I had overheated one day, but seemed ok. I cooked the ring, It did not have enough compression to start it with the pull start, but it would run if you jump start it. Jumping it makes the motor go faster than you could possibly pull or kick it, so a wheeler with low compression may run if you jump it.

you stated that there is alot of gas in your air filter? why is there gas in your air filter? Is the float stuck in your carb? Does gas pour out of the overflow hose when you crank it?
