Is there a way that I could have put the carrier in wrong? It seems hard to turn it to adjust the chain. I was thinking of taking it out and trying it a different way.

I put a huge leverage bar on it and the fourwheeler lifted up before i got it to move an inch..It's real hard to move.

Even if you put it in backwards it shoud move the same. Are you certain you loosened the bolts enough? Dumb question. But it shouldn't take a breaker bar to move it, especally when you just had it apart.
