Default I need help with my 02 prairie

Okay guys I need help with my prairie. I changed the air filter to a k and n one and that is all I changed. Well the problem is is when I start the prairie it will be real sluggish like it wants to die out, and the I start to drive around and it's perfectly fine. But then when I come to a stop it will do the same deal as when I first started it and sometimes even die out. Could my jetting be off or what I really need help, because this is starting to bug me.

kendan, did you check your plugs? does it run great on the top end? if you just have a problem on the bottom/ idle, turn your pilot screews out to about 2 1/4 turns and try there. if needed go a little more but not over 3. your main jets are under the float bowls, which is located on the right side. remove your cvt boot. there are 4 philips screews per bowl, remove them carefully they will strip easy. your main jet is the one that has a flat head slot, wright in the center of the carbs. remove the one from the back and put it in the front carb, then buy one larger than that and install it into the rear carb. you should have a jet combo of 142 front, 145 rear.

this is not the best explanation but i hope you understand.
you can also go to nyroc web site to help in the matter.

you are talking about a 650 prairie?

Prairies have been known for having weak choke plunger springs. If the other recommendations don' fix it remove your choke plungers, clean them grease lightly, lube your choke cables, stretch out the plunger spring 3/8" and reassemble. But first I'd check/adjust airscrews and your idle screw/**** setting

my brute force did this after I cleaned and oiled my filter, what happened was I just put the filter on and the machine sat overnight, the next day it didn't idle right and it was missing in the low end but it ran fine when I was getting on it. I guess what happened was some air filter oil dripped down into the carbs because the plugs looked like I was running diesel fuel in it. I rode about five miles and it still didn't idle right, I started it the next day and let it run full choke for like 5 minutes and when I took the choke off, it idled fine, it could be the same problem? Mine just had to clean itself out.
