01 bayou 300 4x4 replacement shocks

Does anyone have any ideas on replacement front shocks for my bike? The dealer wants $225 each which seems high.

01 bayou 300 4x4 replacement shocks

No one, cept fer kawasaki, makes shocks for the 300 bayou - progressive makes some for the 400 bayou, but i have not done any research to see if these will work or not.

If you have to get OE shocks find out what year they improved them. I read a review @ atving.com on a 300 Bayou 4x4 where they finnally made it ride better. Don't remember what year though.
