I have a 03 kfx 400. About 7-8 mounths after I bought it I tried to start it and the start button felt weird, when I pushed it in the starter engaged but then quit. I lost all power, so I checked the fuse and sure enought it was blown. I changed it and tried again and this time it burnt a hole through the plastic start button. I took it back to the dealership and they had to replace the whole start/low/high beam switch and the rest of the wiring harness. ($230) I thought it was just a fluke but last night my buddy tried to start his Z-400 and it did the same thing. So I guess he gets to spend $230 too. Has anybody else had this problem??? It has to be a short in the wiring but where at. I wonder if they have fixed the problem in the 04/05's???????
