Default WILL IT FLOAT?

Has anyone ever had there prarie 650/700 floating in water?

I have shot ponds an creeks on mine but have never really been able to tell if it floats completly.
I shot a pond last week and it was pulling me towards the middle where it got really deep i stayed in the throttle and the front end raised up and it pulled right out. I know you have to stay on the throttle for sure if not it will sink but has anyone shot deep water where the quad for sure wasn't touching bottom.

I used to have a big red honda 3-wheeler and we could shoot my uncles pond on it and make it. the pond was about 10 to 15 feet deep also.

Later
Josh

like you say if you let off the throttle it sinks. Although I have gone through water where you can feel the tires leave the ground. Just lean back and keep that snorkle up.

these big utes sink like a rock. I saw a Blaster float downstream, but they only weigh 300lb or so, and have almost the same amount of air in the tires as the big toys.

my kodiak would float, it had 27's and it definetly floated, I had to lean forward to keep it balanced, however the kodiak is about 50 lbs. lighter than the prarie so it might not with you on it.

My Prairie floats with 27, 589,s on, loaded down with some gear too.
With me on it however it would want to dive down to whatever corner you leaned until a tire touched.

I got the belt wet so jumped off and it just floated there, held/balanced it upright with two fingers on one bar.
Hooked buddies winch to the back and just stood there (in waist water) and balanced it while he pulled me back out.

It made my day, no gear wet in either the front or rear cargo box, none in the carbs, a little in the breather but thats it, and the belt of course.
