Yes, you sure can. Even the owners manual recommends for use in higher temp areas.

I run 5-50 Mobil 1 full syn (from wally world) without problems. Run it in my Gold Wing, Valkyrie and all quads... no sweat.

I can only personally vouch for its use in my Honda six cylinder motorcycles with wet clutches. No problems.... can't personally vouch for other manufacturers wet clutches..... I did not use it in my earlier motorcycles (about 9 of them). I used it in my Honda 300EX quad and will probably use it in my new Z400 Zuk once it's time for oil change. No problems in the Honda 300EX at all (except for a little cooler running).

This is a very old and long debate which we have hashed out for years in the motorcycle forums.... nobody could definitively prove that it caused clutch problems in motorcycles but the myth still lives on and on..... if you have concerns, Auto Zone (and other retailers) sell a version of Mobil 1 5-50 which is supposedly designed specifically for wet clutch machines. It's about four times as expensive as the wally world stuff, but it may ease your mind (tho not your wallet).

caveat emptor

If you would like to peruse a summary of that long discussion mentioned above, I have it on record at this link....

I live in a hot climate (Texas) and I use bel ray semi-syn. 20W/50 in my P650 (1300 miles and no engine wear problems).

Happy trails...
