Nighthunter, I run up and down the same road for testing, Different day may be 4 mph from the next. I have the 4* key in that makes mine harder to get just right. I tried in on a stock 700 and went from 64 to 68. Got mine up to 67 with dyna using stock tires. Best before was 64. The dyna pulles much better than a module from 55 on up because of the timing. Last night it was 42* outside and I just barely touched starter with no choke and started instantly. I think you will like the dyna when jetted .

 

Same problem with the low end miss. I contacted my dealer who contacted Kawasaki. Kawasaki is aware of the problem and dealer will fix it. The needle in the front carb is to small causing it to run lean. It needs to be replaced with the same size needle in the rear carb. This is not a recall but Kawasaki is fixing the problem

Has it stopped stuttering at top speed now? What did your jetting end up at? I've been gone a few days, so may have missed your update, but the last I remember was you had removed the snorkel and were trying to go back to stock? Let me know how it turned out. I still haven't touched mine... Didn't even clean it enough to pull the plugs!

 

No I am not going to install the CDI until I get the low speed miss fixed but unfortunately I ride every weekend and I am leaving the 30th to ride for a solid week so I won't have time to get needle.

Crypie, when I open the airbox the sputter went away. I jetted to stock, came back, so installed snorkel again and was fine again. Went 67 again, no cutting out. It was warm that day. Now I am thinking about going richer again, getting colder at night , when pull choke all way at full top speed dosen't do anything. I would think it would die out like it does when going slower.

 

I called my dealer and they said exactly what I tought they'd say "we don't have any bulletins on the BF stuttering at low speeds", MAN I HATE DEALERS! I asked them to please call Kawasaki and ask about it, so we'll see whatcomes of it. I knowI'm going to end up having to do this myself.

 

I now what you mean trailblazer, I told them the same thing and they gave me Kawasakis number ,the lady at Kawasaki told me to tell dealership to call hotline and talk to tech. I told them this an they said they had not heard this and that there is always rumors on the net. We will probably have to do our self..

 

I talked to my dealer and he said Kawasaki told him to get my bike and ride it, tell them exactly what it's doing at what RPM, and THEN and only then would they tell him the fix and send the part. what a crock! they won't just send a new needle.

 

Just got mine back- told my dealer about the needle and he called kawi and had another needle in about 4 days
installed it no questions asked.

well, I'm taking it in tomorrow. I suspect since he is a low volume dealer that he just doesnt know about the situation yet. he was real interested when I told hime the fix was replacing a needle. I put my CDI box on today and it really amplified the miss problem, basically its unrideable with the dyna in there. i put stock back for trip to dealer. found my heat shield bolt loose today, almost came out.
