side gapped plugs
#1
I came across this site, http://performanceunlimited.com/docu...degapping.html
and I was wondering does anyone side gap thier spark plugs? If what this site is saying is true it seemed that a good deal of performance can be gained. Check it out and let me know what you all think

I looked at the artical, & will give it a try, I'm due for a plug change, before my next competition, in 2 weeks... my only concern, would be plug life, but I probably change plugs every 5-6 months or so anyway, & I'd expect about the same results as a slpit fire, at maybe 1/2 the cost, ( with replacing the plugs more often )... in reality, the only time I really noticed any change for the better, with a plug like the Split Fires, was on engines that have started to burn oil... but I'm willing to give this a shot, on my quad motor ( which, by the way, is not burning oil )...

I put in a set of side gapped plugs last year and put in on the dyno....... maybe 1/2 hp gain on top,...1.5 loss on bottom.seemed cold blooded...lost bottom end performance in field....tossed em on bench.
..possibly someone else will have better luck
