Wassup with KAW. They put BF plastic on the P-650 chassis; and call it a '05 BF650............................................. .

Yeah, the BF650 (aka P650 with new plastics) doesn't make any sense to me either...I sure hope they don't get rid of the P700 (unless they upgrade it to 750cc with EFI to boot!).

Happy trails...

I kind of like the new redesigned Prairie. The plastic seem stronger and little more aggressive. I guess Kawasaki is just refreshing its fleet and unifying their products

So does this mean BF plastic will bolt right up to my P700?

I was studing the pics pretty close, It sure looks like it could, but you will likely have to buy more than just the plastic. It looks like you will need to buy at least a new front rack, maybe the rear, and a few mounting components and some new hardware but it looks like it can be done. I have been working on updating my old P650 to look like a red Twin peaks, I bought new red plastic, new black trim plastic, new mounting hardware that I have lost on the trail though the years new front bumper, new front and rear racks, new black seat, I still need some more odds and ends plus I forgot to order new stickers. I am already over $600.00 into the project and looks like may take at least another $ 100.00 to $ 200.00 to finish but it should look like a new red twin peaks when its done. I would say it would cost probably $800.00 or more to do the BF conversion. That said used prarries seem to bring around $4000.00 to $4500.00 around here, so a guy could update a current model for still less than half what it would cost to trade.
